Introduce Yourself!

This is the perfect place to introduce yourself, get to know other community members, and start connecting with the amazing people who make up the Apollo GraphQL ecosystem.

To help break the ice, here are a few fun questions you can answer when introducing yourself. Feel free to pick and choose or share whatever you’d like:

:hammer_and_wrench: Work and GraphQL

  • What’s your role, and what kind of work do you do?
  • How long have you been working with GraphQL, and how did you get started?
  • Have you used Apollo before? If so, what’s your favorite tool or feature?
  • What’s the most interesting or challenging project you’ve worked on involving GraphQL?

:tada: Fun Stuff

  • What’s a hobby or activity you enjoy outside of work?
  • If you could have dinner with any fictional character or historical figure, who would it be and why?
  • What’s your favorite app, game, or piece of tech that you just can’t live without?
  • What’s the best thing you’ve watched, read, or listened to lately?

:sparkles: Optional Challenge

Share a fun fact about yourself that might surprise others!

Welcome aboard,
The Apollo Customer Enablement Team

'llo all! I’m Scott Silvi. I’m the founder and head nerd at Duality, a consulting firm that focuses on AI & Graph. We sponsored Apollo Summit 2024, and are a delivery partner of Apollo. As part of my work at Duality, I’m also the CTO of a startup called TitanX.

I started working on graph back in 2015-2016, where I led the web architecture team at Hilton, on a multi-year journey to graph + node + react. I most recently spent about a year as tech lead on the graph platform team at Marriott.

I’ve got 4 kids aged 6, 6, 7, 9. So outside of work my hobbies are whatever my kids are into in any given unit of time. Right now thats beyblades, barbies, and legos.

Super excited to see where y’all take this!
