Big news today!
We’re excited to announce the general availability of Apollo Connectors for REST APIs today, which bring the power of declarative, graph-based API orchestration to REST APIs. If you haven’t tried connectors yet I urge you to try them out. They’re easy and fun to write.
We previewed connectors a few months ago. You probably know them as a way to get GraphQL without the server. But I think the story is lot bigger than that — connectors is really a way to use GraphQL to directly orchestrate REST API calls, using all the federation machinery and with all the benefits of GraphQL. This is a game-changer for expanding your graphs and bringing GraphQL to more of your collaborators who’ve been reluctant or unable to stand up their own GraphQL services. So we’re pretty excited.
Read my blog post to learn more about how Apollo Connectors fits into the modern API stack and @lennyburdette‘s blog post about how Connectors works and how you can use them.
We can’t wait to see what you build with them!
