Hello everyone, I’m a champion of Apollo, the power of GraphQL in API orchestration, and of everyone working to bring better APIs to their organization.
I’ve been fascinated with API design since I began my career as a developer in the long-ago times of the early internet. After a run at several internet startups, I joined Expedia in the early 2000s and spent two joyous decades helping business and leisure travelers explore the world through product and platform innovation. At Expedia, I led numerous large-scale tech transformation initiatives and acquisition integrations – the last of which was championing the adoption of a company-wide graph API built atop Apollo GraphOS.
I joined Apollo in 2022 where I’ve worked to bring together other API champions into the Graph Champions Community, comprising over 1,700 API architects, developers, and leaders from 400+ enterprise organizations. I’m now part of a unified Apollo Community effort as we work to help organizations accelerate the value they derive from improving the orchestration of their APIs.
I live in Seattle, WA with my brilliant wife and partner, 95-year-old mother-in-law, three kids who are in various stages of leaving and returning to the nest, and our poodle Bella.
