Hi there ,
I’m Jesper - Principal Engineer at The LEGO Group.
I’ve been working with API design for more than a decade now, running transformation projects for scaling consumer-facing apps in several places like TV 2 Denmark (one of the early adopters of GraphQL Federation in Europe, running on Apollo Router), Spotify, and now at The LEGO Group. Beyond APIs, I’m passionate about developer relations, focusing on learning, development, and building strong engineering communities. When not focusing on GraphQL, my main areas of interest revolve around scalability, observability and improving quality of life for engineers.
I’m a 4-time speaker at GraphQL Summit—5th time must mean Hall of Fame status, right, @Dan_Boerner (Or at least a free coffee?)
I live in Odense, Denmark, with my girlfriend and two kids—eagerly waiting for spring to enjoy the fire pit, sleep in our outdoor shelter, or sip wine in our lovely orangery.
Outside of work, I fine-tune my barista skills, roast coffee, and perfect homemade pizza in a 500°C industrial oven (930°F for the Imperials). You’ll also find me hiking, making Ramen, or at concerts—mostly death metal & deathcore—cocktail in hand.
